This third book of the Icelandic Riding Levels continues to build on the foundation presented Levels 1 and 2. Here the tasks of horses and riders become more detailed and challenging gradually moving on towards more advanced training and riding.

Basic topics in this book are:

• Conformation and physical condition of horses.
• Basic training concepts.
• The gaits and gait-training of the Icelandic horse.
• Basic dressage and agility training.
• The seat of the rider.
• Training poles and basic jumping.

Here training and riding becomes more demanding for horse and rider, preparing both for the increasingly demanding tasks at Level 4 and 5.
